Question 1: When will I receive my Preferred Guest Membership Card?
Answer: You’ll receive your welcome kit from us within 3-4 weeks from the day your application is submitted. Your welcome kit will contain your new Preferred Guest Membership Card which you should carry with you so that you can earn points every time you dine with us. Your membership card will include a $25 dining credit as a “thank you” for being our Preferred Guest.

Question 2: I just signed up for Preferred Guest Membership. If I have not received my card yet, can I still earn points on my dining experiences?
Answer: Yes! Just save your receipt(s). Soon, you’ll receive a Welcome Kit that will explain all the benefits of using your Preferred Guest Membership Card, including how to receive your points via a mailable Points Request Form.

Question 3: I forgot to use my Preferred Guest Membership Card on my last visit—how do I still receive points?
Answer: As long as the date of your visit was within the last 3 months, you can receive points for your dining experience. There are 3 ways you can submit your request:
• Click here to access the online Points Request Form
• Make a photocopy of your dining receipts and a copy of your Preferred Guest Membership Card and mail to: McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants, Attn: Preferred Guest Services Team, 720 SW Washington Street, Suite 550, Portland OR 97205.

Your points should be applied to your account within 4 weeks. To confirm that your points have posted, check your point balance 24/7 online. Note: Points will only be issued for visits after date of joining.

Question 4: Do I need to carry my card with me when I dine?
Answer: Yes, to utilize your reward dining credits you will need to have your Preferred Guest Card wtih you. Also, when you carry your card with you, your points will be issued instantly to your account when you pay your bill and saves the step of submitting for missing points after the fact. Having your card also helps should you need to show it at the host desk to utilize Priority Seating.

Question 5: If another diner pays the dining check, can I still receive points on my Preferred Guest account?
Answer:We appreciate you dining with us, and we're always happy when your friends and family join us. Preferred Guest Points can only be credited to the person who pays the dining check. If you decide to split the check, we will be happy to make sure your account is credited for the portion of the bill that you pay.

Question 6: How do I redeem points for rewards?
Answer: It’s easy to redeem your points for rewards—simply check your point total online. You can choose from all the rewards online; select your favorite and submit your request. Dining credits will be loaded onto your card within 24 hours. Cookbooks, Chef's Table Dinner, and Cocktail Reception rewards will arrive in the mail within 2 weeks. Click here to redeem your points.

Question 7: Can I manage my account online?
Answer: Of course! You’ll enjoy convenient, 24/7 access to your Preferred Guest Membership account where the Primary Member can:
• Update Your Member Profile. Make changes to your name, mailing address, email address and other information quickly and easily.
• Check your Reward Dining Credit and Account Balance. See how many points you need to reach your next reward.
• Redeem Points for Rewards. Choose your rewards when you’re ready.
• Order New Membership Card(s). Lost your card? No problem! We’ll send you a new one within 2 weeks.

Question 8: What do I need in order to log in to my account?
Answer: Once you receive your Preferred Guest Membership account number, you are able to use your account number to log in, when prompted:

  • Use your 19 digit membership number (without spaces) as your "username".
  • Enter your birthday month and date (MMDD) as your "password".
  • Click here to log in.

Question 9: How long do I have to accumulate points?
Answer: New Members get at least one full year to accrue points! That’s one full year, plus the remaining months of the year in which you join. After your new member period is complete, you will have one calendar year to accumulate points and will need to redeem your points before March 31 of the following year.

For example: If you join on May 1, 2008, you have until December 31, 2009 to accrue points (That’s one year, plus the remaining months of that calendar year. That’s 20 months total!). You’ll need to redeem your ’08 & ’09 points before March 31, 2010.

After your introductory year, you can accrue points from January 1 through December 31 and will need to redeem those points before March 31 of the following year.

Question 10: Can I add a member of my household to my Preferred Guest Membership?
Answer: Certainly. To add a second Preferred Guest Member to your account, simply Log In to your account where you can update your account profile to include another member of your household. Remember, all Preferred Guest Members must be 18 years of age or older. You’ll receive your second Membership Card within 3-4 weeks.

Question 11: How does Priority Seating work?
Answer: You are invited to be our Preferred Guest at any of our participating restaurants. As a Preferred Guest there are two ways you can be seated quickly:
1. Preplan your visit: The best way to take advantage of your Priority Seating benefit—and keep your wait-time to a minimum—is to make reservations ahead of time. When you make your reservation, please offer your Preferred Guest Membership number and then feel free to let our host staff team member know if you are celebrating a special occasion such as an anniversary or a birthday.
2. Spur of the moment visits: If you find yourself having family or clients in town and would like to join us, we can accommodate you on short notice. Before visiting, please call the restaurant at least 20 minutes ahead of your arrival time and identify yourself as a Preferred Guest Member and provide your member number. You will be placed at the top of the walk-in list for the next available non-reserved table. Preferred Guest Members will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis to meet the size of your party.
Note: Priority Seating is not available on Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day and New Year’s Eve.

Question 12: When I book a private party at McCormick and Schmick’s, can I still earn Preferred Guest Membership points?
Answer: Absolutely! As long as you are an active Preferred Guest Member before you sign the contract, you’re eligible to earn points on all food and beverage purchases (excluding tax and gratuity), up to 7,500 points per event. Question 13: Will I earn points when I purchase McCormick & Schmick’s merchandise and cookbooks?
Answer: Yes, we’ll credit your account with one point per dollar spent on merchandise and our cookbook excluding tax.

Question 14: How do I receive my $30 Dining Credit for my birthday?
Answer: We will load your Preferred Guest card with a $30 Dining Credit by the first day of the month of your birthday. If you have joined within 30 days of your birthday, note belated rewards are loaded within 60 days.

Question 17: How do I accumulate points for rewards?
Answer: Every time you dine with us, simply present your Preferred Guest Membership Card to your server. You’ll receive points for your food and beverage purchases, excluding gift cards, tax and tip. If you split the check with someone in your party, you’ll receive points for your portion of the bill. Your points will be credited to your account within 24 hours of your visit.
