(713) 862-4033The Memorial Park Municipal Golf Course opened as a 9-hole golf course in 1923 near a hospital for soldiers at Camp Logan and previously served as the host of the Houston Open from 1951-1963 after it had expanded to 18-holes.  Considered today as one of the best municipal golf-courses in the country, this 600-acre golf course underwent a comprehensive renovation in 1994 adding driving range, putting and chipping greens, new clubhouse facility and a golf museum.  Located on Memorial Loop Drive, the Memorial Park Golf Course in managed by the city of Houston and is open to the public.
