Décor and Setting at McCormick and Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants
Each McCormick & Schmick’s restaurant is thoughtfully designed to create an inviting, original and relaxed atmosphere, where guests can enjoy the highest quality dining experience.
Site Specific Designs
Ask to see the "company blueprint" for a McCormick & Schmick's restaurant, and you had better clear some room on your desk for more than 80 very different designs. No two restaurants are the same in size, layout or personality. Each restaurant is uniquely designed to reflect the culture and heritage of the city in which it is located.
While no two McCormick & Schmick’s restaurants have the same interior design, a number of core design principles guide the atmosphere each restaurant seeks to create. The use of natural wood, rich colors and original glass work creates a welcoming feel in each of our restaurants. While some of our restaurants use darker woods and deep, rich colors to embody a more traditional ambience, others incorporate lighter woods and materials and airier colors to create more open, modern spaces.
Artwork and Photos
Significant effort is spent to find the proper artwork and photos that give the finishing touches to each restaurant. Countless hours are exhausted finding historic photos or procuring artwork to decorate a room.
Attention To Detail
McCormick & Schmick’s has long partnered with a number of skilled artisans who create handcrafted design elements for our restaurants. As an example, for decades, the renowned Chuck Franklin Glass Studios in Portland, Ore., has been creating masterpieces in glasswork. His themed works include local sports team logos, state birds and flags, among other local designs that perfectly depict a local character.
